Mary Jo received her BS in Psychology from U of A and her MBA in Health Care Administration from University of Phoenix. She is also, a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), a Certified Psychosocial Rehabilitation Practitioner and certified in SIX Sigma. Mary Jo has 17 years of experience in behavioral healthcare ranging from administration, quality management, program development, compliance, budgeting and clinical services.
Mary Jo joined Compass in August 2006, hired into the position of Performance Improvement Director and in 2007, promoted to Vice President of Performance Improvement and Operations. In 2008, Mary Jo was again promoted into the multifaceted position of Vice President of Clinical and Detoxification Services.
Mary Jo joined Compass from La Frontera, with more than 10 years of clinical management experience. At LFC she worked in various clinical capacities since 1995. She was responsible for managing the crisis team and all residential facilities. In addition, Mary Jo was involved in the development, planning and implementation of the crisis team and the intensive case management team. She insured compliance with residential facilities licensing and developed and supervised the after hours on-call system. Mary Jo served as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee.
